Texoma Women to Watch

Kendra K. Buford began her Wal-Mart career in February 2005 as a Realty Manager in the Realty Division. As a Realty Manager, Kendra was responsible for the management of the physical property of operating Wal-Mart Stores, Sam’s Clubs, Neighborhood Markets, and Distribution Centers in four states. In the spring, 2008, Kendra decided to join the People Division as a Human Resource Manager, where she supported Store Planning. In 2010, Kendra relocated to Texas as a Regional Compliance Manager supporting Region 5 of the Texas Division. In her current role, she is responsible for both company and regulatory compliance for over 70 operating Wal-Mart facilities.

Kendra holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Central Arkansas and earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Arkansas, School of Law in 2004. While in law school, Kendra had the opportunity to clerk for the Arkansas Attorney General’s Office in the Consumer Protection Division, completed a federal externship with Federal Judge Jimm Larry Hendren of the Western District of Arkansas, and with the Watkins Law Office. Kendra is licensed in the State of Arkansas and is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
