Cheri Butler holds a Masters Degree in Career Development from John F. Kennedy University and a Bachelors Degree in Education from The Ohio State University (Cum Laude). She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Career Counselor and has been working in the Career field for over 20 years. She currently serves as Associate Director of The Career Center at University of Texas at Arlington where she has been for 8 years. She has worked in almost every venue as a career professional including in outplacement, vocational rehabilitation, workforce centers, corporate employee development centers and twice in higher education.

Cheri has had the opportunity to travel internationally and has conducted training in Lima and Trujillo, Peru, Beijing, China, Ottawa, Canada and the United Arab Emirates. She has been involved in the supervision of career practitioners for over 10 years and is a Master Trainer in the Career Development Facilitator program. She has served as President of the Texas Career Development Association and as the Director for TCDA on the Texas Counseling Association Board. She currently serves as the immediate Past President of the National Career Development Association.
